Gold+ Members can now make use of a Role Assignment Phase in their Custom Games. This should enable a large number of setups with more complicated role selection.

Here's how it works: When creating roles in a setup (inside a matrix or otherwise), you can set the Role Name or both the Role Name and Alignment as NONE. That is, you can have a role that is just "Player" with nothing assigned, or as Town-Aligned/Mafia-Aligned etc with no role assigned. You'll generally also need to create a list of Potential Roles, which is done in pretty much the same way as creating Roles.

When the game is full, and you're ready to go, if any role in your setup contains NONE, instead of going to Night 0 or Day 1 at the top of the next hour, you'll go straight to the Role Assignment Phase. There is no set deadline apart from what you indicate to players. During this phase, you'll be able to complete the role assignment. You'll have access to any role your setup has as a Role, Potential Role or in a Matrix (so if you have eg Vanilla Townie as a Role already, you don't need to have it as a Potential Role as well). For players who are already x-Aligned, you'll only be able to assign roles with that alignment. Players that are scum-Aligned will have access to their scum Thread.

This can be used for games like C9++ etc which have setups too complicated to be managed with matrices. It can also be used for games with a draft, Pick Your Poison etc where players have some control over how the roles are distributed.

I now have asher9++ open for signups. Eddie, you indicated you'd like to run asher++, so if you're super keen you can run it instead, but I feel like it's probably better if I do so that you can play and the game is filled more easily.

I double checked and it was ADK, not Eddie, who indicated they'd like to run asher9++ (unless Eddie also did somewhere).
